Monday morning, we got
up and went shopping. lol This was our busiest day. We decided to do quick
family pics with Landons side of the family. So we needed new outfits (rough
life). We went to City Creek, got our threads, then drove out to see my beautiful
Abuela Lopez. She just turned 100!! Landon had never met her, so we went and
chatted with her and my Grandpa Lopez. She looks just as beautiful as ever, and
still has her adorable sense of humor. After that visit we went to pic up the
niece and nephew, and take them to family pics. Once again, it was freezing.
But we got some really good ones (shout out to camera timers, and my sister in
law!! woot woot).
That night we met up
with the adorable newly weds, and had dinner with them, then we had a concert
to attend to at Kilby Court. this venue was TINY but it was amazing. We went to
see a band called Sleep For Sleepers. They are a smaller band from LA, but Landon
and I have loved listening to their music, so since they were SLC and we were
SLC it was a match made in heaven. We got to meet the lead singer and his wife and chit chat it up!
We then went back to the hotel, cleaned up,
and prepped for the drive home the next day.
DAY 4:
On Tuesday we needed to
make our trek back home, but needed to stop and see a few more people. It’s always
so hard to see everyone, but we try. So we stopped off to see Landons step dad
Rich, and exchange gifts, and catch up. Then after that pit stop, we stopped
and said by to my dad, and exchanged gifts (we kept forgetting to give each
other our presents haha). Then after that, we made one last stop to see my
Uncle Ricky and Aunt Kristy, and my little cousins Brandon and Katelynn. My
uncle has been in Afghanistan, and we literally have not seen him since our
wedding. *tangent* I have to give these two people the biggest shoutout. They
have been such a big blessing to me in my life, and I admire both of them so
much, and look up to them in every way. They are so amazing *end tangent*.
After our visit with them we headed home, and stopped in St. George to see
Landon’s Grandparents, chatted with them, then got home about 2 hours before the
New Year.
When we got home, we
snuggled our pups, watched LOTR, and said Happy New Year at Midnight, kissed, and
went to bed. Our kind of New Year.
