Adventure.

I know I have mentioned Matt Landon before... If you have forgotten let me refresh your memory... Landon and Matt met day 1 at the MTC... they were both going to New Mexico, Landon thought it was awesome that he met someone who had his 1st name as a last name... They didnt see eachother the WHOLE mission until their last 3 months they served as APs together. Its safe to say they have, what Scrubs would call it "Guy Love"... Get them together and they will talk about their mission 24/7 and how much fun they had together.. their inside jokes, the families they baptized, their old companions... and of course how AMAZING they were (humble right? lol)... Anywho, Matt got married to a beautiful, and hilarious girl last November... they came out to visit last January (they live in Idaho) and we had dinner. At dinner we all talked about a trip we should take... we all laughed about how amazing it would be, not sure if it would actually happen.. but it did.

Last weekend we all packed up and headed to San Diego.. the first night we planned on spending the night at the beach.. We went to La Jolla beach, found our spot then went around to like 3 stores to find some last minute "camping" stuff. After that adventure we attempted to sleep... the waves were so loud it seriously sounded like they were going to get us... we woke up and headed to our hotel. They wouldnt let us check in early so we headed to Coronando beach... and were disppointed... it was FREEZING and the beach was not too pretty.. After a joyous conversation with Priceline, we canceled our hotel in San D, and headed to Santa Monica.. It was so much more warm, but the Hotel were ridiculously priced.. we drove around for I couldnt tell you how long, we finally found a GHETTO motel to stay at.. we decided it would do for a nihgt. we changed into our swimsuits and headed to the beach. Matt and Landon boogie boarded for 3 hours and Ashley and I joined in for a bit... The water was so cold, and when you got out it was worse. We got back to the Motel, all rinsed off, and went to get some grub... Pizza Hut for Ash and I and of course.. The Shnitz for the boys (they both LOVE the Shnitz) we went back to the Motel, and when we turned on the light there were literally 5 cockroaches... EW!! I went to office got our money back. We packed up what little items we had in the room and headed to West LA to find a room. We found a Best Western, it was a family room (3 beds) but hey it worked, and it was clean. When we woke up, we headed back to the beach. It was a little more warm, so we all boogie boarded for a while, they waves dominated Ash and I, so we called it quits early and went to the car to get in dry clothes and ordered, yup, pizza to take to the boys. After about 4 hours on the beach we packed it up and headed home.

This was seriously such a fun trip... We have also decided we need to get together and go on a little vacay every year.... Next year we're thinking Florida or a Cruise... Cali beaches are too cold. haha.
