Home Update.

((WARNING:: PICTURE OVERLOAD))

Last Saturday Landon and I got to go to the KB home design studio and pick out the "upgrades" we want for our NEW home.

The Kitchen came with standard white dishwasher and stove so we upgraded to stainless steel appliances..and added a microwave. We will still have to buy a fridge on our own, but we would've had to do that in any home. (and thanks to puppa stagg for bargaining with the seller and getting us a free washer and drier thrown in)

The Kitchen also came with berch cabinets... Really light like this...

(not the best picture but you get the idea)

We dont like that color, not to mention all of our furniture matches a darker more Kona color like this...

The cabinets we choose in the kitchen will also be put in the bathrooms.

And we upgraded to Granite counter tops.

(Santa Cecilia Granite, just like the picture)

We have cultured marble in the master bath, and in the guest bath.

The master bath came with a classic tub then the shower inside the tub, but they had an option to make it side by side... And we liked that better. The guest bathroom has the classic tub/shower combo

(we do not have granite walls like this picture though lol)

The WHOLE downstairs will have tile...like this

and the stairs and all upstairs will have a rich dark chocolate berber carpet similar to this....

We also have a white stair railing..identical to this..

There are a LOT more minor things we had to pick out like, lighting, color of grout, electronics, etc.etc.etc. but these are the MAJOR upgrades that we are having done, and I am SO excited to see what OUR home is going to look like when it is all done!

  1. Love it all!!! The granite looks slightly familiar... :) tip #1... You have to make sure you go by the house EVERY DAY almost! Go make sure everything is exactly how it is supposed to be, that way if it isn't, you catch it in the stages where it can be fixed. Every person I have ever known who had a home built says the same thing, go check in as much as possible.. even when we had our condo and it was still being built, because we went in during the process, we helped fix a lot of issues that could have really sucked... love it all! so excited for you two!!!! Can't wait to come see!
