Engaged.

So lately EVERYONE I went to high school (and 1 from elementary) with is getting engaged and married!! YAY!

And it just got me to thinking... I have NEVER shared (on this blog anyway) how Landon and I met and got engaged! So since I am in a "blogging" mood, I decided to share. Its a long story so if you dont read the whole thing I get it :)

Lets start off with me moving from West Jordan to Provo. My dad and step mom had moved out to Utah quickly from Reno and a house in West Jordan was all we could find to rent. We then realized that with my dad working in Orem, and taking me to school ( I went to Murray High), gas was getting to expensive. So after our year lease was up in this house, my dad and stepmom bought a house in Provo Utah. I was SO sad to move because I had just made cheer on Murrays team, and had FINALLY made friends (after leaving ALL-but one- of my friends from Granite High). So I got a cheer tryout at Timpanogos High School (with a broken arm) and made Timps team. Timp was in Orem we lived in Provo. So, when we moved I was turning 16 soon, and my mom was going to buy me a car, but my dad and stepmoms rule was I had to pay for gas, and insurance. Great. My dad also worked part time at Dominos Pizza (Harley Business gets slow in Utah during the winter time) so he had set me up with an interview (guaranteed job) so I could get some income rollin in. There was where I met Landon.

Now keep in mind, Landon is 7 years older than me. So im 16 at this point he is 24.

He used to give me rides home (before I had my car) because my dad had asked him too :) Landon didnt mind at all. He knew I was in 11th grade, and at this point I had a HUGE crush on him, but he did have a girlfriend and I figured I was nothing but a 16 yr old co-worker whose dad asked him to take her home. So I let it be. For a year.

One night (I was 17 now) this kid Blake that we also worked with (R.I.P Blake) asked me out for sushi. I didnt like Blake like that, he was a cool kid, buut that was all. Landon had over heard the question about going out for sushi and said "oh you guys are going to sushi? Can I come" meaning it as a joke, but a) I still REALLY had a crush on him and b) didnt want it to be just me and Blake, so I say.. "YES!! All 3 of us!!" so it was set! haha I would hang out with Landon outside of work. The day of the "friend" date came around, and I got this call from Landon on my way home from coaching saying "Hey! Blake texted me and said he couldnt come, so its just going to be me and you, is that ok?" and I am thinking.. UH DUHH!! and I remember being so nervous and getting butterflies like NO other, I pulled myself together to say "ya, sounds great! Ill see you at 7!" So I RUSHED home and got ready!! and told my dad how excited I was (he knew how much I liked Landon) and rushed off to sushi! We ate and had so much fun, we went to spoon me after and just talked and talked and talked. After that we had a second date, which was just him and I, Stepbrothers, popcorn, and candy :) he had picked me up from a friends house.... and we went to his place and watched the movie. When he dropped me off is when we shared our 1st kiss!!! :)

A few months went by... and by a few I literally mean 2.... We had a trip planned to Vegas for my cheer competition, and so I could meet his daddyy... I was SO nervous. And at this point my dad had given Landon and I permission to date... I was 17 he was 25... but my dad had worked with him, so he knew Landon was a good guy... and Landon could "BS" my dad. Anyway, met puppa and I just LOVED him! We went out to dinner with Landons family, Puppa, Stace, Ally, and Brett, and had fun getting to know each other... LOVED his WHOLE fam BTW (I met his mom and other sister Brittany way before, OH and get this I used to hang out with his little brother Trevor in 7th grade! haha small world.. anyway....) Cheer comp was over and we were back in Utah (cheer comp was the 1st week of February) just livin life. We had obviously talked about marriage before, I mean I LOVED this man, and he LOVED me, and we knew we wanted to be together... SOOO it was out there.

Vday rolls around and I needed to do something for him.. So me and my "at the time" friend Kathy went to walmart and seriously STOCKED up on candy stuffed animals... basically ANYTHING Valentines Dayey, and on the 13th she snuck into his bedroom and decorated it while we were both at work so when he got home (technically would be the 14th) there would be a surprise for him... and when she was there she saw the 'Kays' bag, but didnt tell me.. good girl. He got home was obviously surprised :) and texted me :)

The next day (Valentines) He came to pick me up, he brought me roses, chocolate, and a ITouch, for my presents, and we went to dinner... After dinner he blindfolded me and drove me around and took me to the very 1st place we kissed. He had decorated the back of the car with rose peddles and candles, pulled me out of the car, took off my blindfold, and got down on 1 knee, and proposed. I of course cried. DUH! and was so excited! I screamed YES!!!! and jumped in his arms. It was such a PERFECT proposal. Anndd he picked out the ring alll by himself :)

I could not have been more blessed with a more amazing human to call mine. I love him with all of my heart and soul.
