Genesis's Visit

This past week we had a visitor. Yup,our niece Genesis stayed with us for 5 days. My mom had flown her out to her house (in Big River Calii) for a couple of months (as she does every year) and since this year Landon and I are married and live closer to my mom, and have our own place we decided to take Genesis for a few days to spend some much needed time with her auntie and uncle.

So Wednesday ( after i had taken LuLu to the vet) my step dad and two step brothers drove out here to bring me little Genesis. I was soo excited to see her!

As soon as she got here she wanted to make Uncle Landon cookies to surprise him as soon as he got home from work soo that's exactly what we did...

Thursday, I took her to the MGM to go to the Lion Exhibit they have. We got to take a picture with a baby cub (I forgot to scan it before she left :[ ). Then that night we took her to the Las Vegas 51's game. It was soo fun, and the weather was perfect!

Friday, We were planning on going to the Mirage to see the Siegfried and Roy Animal Exhibit after my doctor appointment, and before i had work, bbuutt what was supposed to take 5 minutes turned into and hour and a half (why they have you make appointments when they don't see you at your appointment time ill never know...) so didn't go because we wouldn't have enough time, so instead i took her to the store and got her a couple outfits.. she was happy.

Saturday, Landon and I took her to see Toy Story 3. That is such a CUTE movie! Of course i cried... haha.. Uncle Landon and Genesis LOVED it. After the movie we went and got a bite to eat then went to Petsmart to get LuLu stairs, and a new toy (GiGi reeally wanted to get her a new toy). We headed home, and i went to work.

Sunday, was the day we took her home. We met my step dad in Searchlight Nevada... ( a small town that looks like it is straight out of a horror film), then she went back to Nana and Papa's and we came back home.

Having Genesis made Landon and I realize how NOT ready we are for kids. I mean she was fun to have and play with for a few days, but they are such a big responsibility. Like I'm not ready to give up sleeping in, or just having alone time with Landon. When GiGi was here she would wake us up at 8 am EVERY MORNING, and if we wanted to take a nap... no way, it wasn't happening. Eventually, yes, we will have kids... anytime soon? No. Call me selfish, but I like doing what I want to do when I want to do it, and with a kid everything that they do depends on YOU. They depend on you to feed them, get them dressed, make sure their teeth is brushed, and their hair is done... and where Landon and I are at in life, I am enjoying it just being the two of us.

In other news... LuLu FINALLY has her cast off!! :)
Here are some pictures of her...
