The Vet

You know, these Las Vegas vets and I are going to be knowing each other very well... I take LuLu to a Vet thats on Tropicana for her casting and check ups on her broken leg, and then I take her to her regular vet on West Charleston for shots, which I need to do today. My life consists of vet visits... at least 1 every week until July 7th. bleh. Hurry and get better little LuLu...

Miss LuLu

As most of you all know LuLu ended up having to get surgery. I took her in last Monday , and her bone just wasn't healing correctly... sad I know. So Tuesday after I had worked my graveyard shift I came home and loaded LuLu in the car and took her to the Vet. They called me around 11:30am to let me know that surgery went great and she would be spending the night there so they could monitor her waking up from all the medications she was on. I went in and picked her up Wednesday morning at 9am. She no longer had a full legged cast, its just a little nob on the inside of her left leg. She has an external catheter. The pins are attached to the top half of her bone and then to the bottom half. She is starting to apply pressure to it which is good. I take her in this next Monday to get this cast changed, and then again July 7th to see if its ready to come off. Soo wish us luck!!



On another note. My big sister graduated college!! YAY sister! I couldnt get work off to be there (she lives in Atlanta for those of you who don't know her)...but nonetheless I am very VERY proud of my big sister! Way to go Lysiee!!

What else is new you ask. Well me and Landon are in the market for some abstract art... Where Landon works he sees AMAZING pieces of art allll the time, and me.. well I just love art. period. We want to get 2 HUGE paintings... one to go in the living room above our big couch and one to go above our bed. We haven't found the right pieces yet, but we have found a couple that we reeallly REALLYY like.







These are just some ideas.... none have been picked yet. We want to make sure we get ones that we are REALLY obsessed with. There was one that we LOVED... but I cant remember the website we found it on... Oh well.

Anyy whoo... I must go attend to my little miss LuLu...

Update!

Okkaaiieee! So Little Miss LuLu has been getting better and better by the day! She has now learned to be just as active as before without having her broken leg TOUCH the ground... yes that's right... it hovers. Haha! Shes perfect! and makes us laugh everyday... she also LOVES to sleep on Landon's work shoes... why? we don't know, but we think its really cute. She misses him all day and when he gets home... she is attached to him, and when she gets tired she likes his shoes to rest her head on.















I know i have soo many pictures of LuLu... but shes soo dang CUTE!

Today we were supposed to be heading to Utah for my two beautiful cousins graduations from Taylorsville High, and for the Bagely family reunion. But since this incident happened with LuLu we a)don't want to leave her home alone for 3 days (I could NOT do that) and b) drive approx. 6 hours with her. So all I can say is... CONGRATS KAY AND TABI!! YOU MADE IT! WE LOVE YOU!!!!

Lately I have also wanted to get into digital scrapbooking. REAALLYY BAD! Paper scrapbooking isn't my cup of tea.... but if i can do it digitally then I'm in! So I am looking into purchasing this program called "Memory Mixer V.3" I'm doing the 30 day trial to see if I like it... and I'm hoping I do... I wanna start scrapbooking my wedding! I also want to get into a few more projects that will keep me busy throughout the day. I wake up at 8 and go to work at 430 sooo between those hours its just me and LuLu bear.. and she sleeps a lot and doesn't want to be bothered... see the problem? haha.

That's about all as of today! Ill let you guys know how Miss LuLu is doing, and how the Memory Mixer works.

LuLu Kneival

The last few days have been a little exhausting. Last Thursday (the 27th) I had to RUSH little LuLu to the vet. She had jumped off of the couch. Now she has done this several times before this, but this time when she jumped sh tweaked her leg when she landed. She was crying so loud the only thought in my mind was "I need to get her to the doctor". Which luckily I did. I called Landon in a panic, he was just getting off of work, and told me he would meet me at the vet. We got there and they came in right away to take X-rays of my hurt puppy. They came back, and she had broke her poor little leg.





The vet thought she would need surgery, so he sent us to a referral vet that specializes in surgeries. I took her that very next morning (they were closed the 27th so i had no choice but to wait). That first night with her hurt was so sad. Her main vet had given us 2 types of medicine to give her. One that is similar to alieve and on that is a pain reliever. She looked so sad that she was in pain and she couldn't run around to play. and she cried every time she moved. Needless to say, Landon and I didn't sleep at all that night. We literally stayed up and watched her, when she fell asleep, we were still watching her. When the time came that I could get her into the referral vet we rushed there 1st thing. I was a emotional mess. I felt so bad that she was in pain, and I was doing all that I could.




The vet (Dr.Mason) came in and said he had some good news. She wouldn't need surgery. That was like a million pounds lifted off of my chest. All she would need is a stronger cast and she should be healed in 3 to 4 weeks. I was so happy that she wouldn't have to spend the night there, and that we wouldn't have to pay the hefty cost of surgery. So they took her, and got her a stronger cast and we were on our way.




Seeing that she could actually walk without whimpering was so nice! It was like with a stronger cast all her pain was gone. for the first few days she didn't like it and it was hard for her to move. But as the days have gone by, shes been able to adjust more and more... she has actually learned to run without her broken leg even touching the ground, and she is her happy self again :). I take her in again on the 7th to get X-rays and see how the healing process is going, and she'll get a new cast.





We are now investing in stairs for the couch and bed. We are not going to risk this happening EVER again.

Also we are very proud to say that potty training has been a lot better since this cast. She has been hobbling to her pad in the bathroom every time... She still has some accidents, but not nearly as many as before. She is learning.

I will definitely keep you all posted on whats new! Also here are some pictures I thought were really cute. One is pre-cast the other is post-cast.. but you cant see it.

In other news. We also got our new computer desk.. So I can now post pictures!! Right now we only have fold out chairs... The next thing we will be obtaining is a office chair... :)



It matches PERFECTLY! We love it!

LuLu is HOME!

WE FINALLY GOT LULU!!
After 6 rreeaallyy long weeks we finally got our puppy! We picked her up yesterday the 5th. On our way home she was really shy at first, but that soon wore off and she wanted to play and wrestle with my hand.. we got her home and couldnt stop laughing at her little personality. She is EXTREMELY hyper and full of energy, and also LOVES to play

and chase your toesies as you walk. If you leave the room shell sit there and wait for you to say "come on Lulu". Shes a little piggy who loves to eat her food ... and carry it with her.

She already knows her name, and shes learning very fast to go potty on her puppy pad. We couldnt be more proud of our little LuLu Bear!
Today we took her to petsmart and spoiled her ROTTEN! We got her the cutest dishes, tons of tasty treats, a doggy carrier, and the most comfortable bed that she hasnt left since we got it!

We love her soo much!
