So, the 4th of July weekend was my first weekend off, in what seems like forever. It also happened to be a 3 day weekend for both Landon and I. We wanted to do something awesome since we have never, in the history of our marriage, had the 4th off together. Friday (the 4th) we packed all our camping gear, and headed to The Grand Canyon. Neither of us had ever been there, and we only love like 3 hours away. We got there Friday evening, and it was rainy, so we hurried and set everything up, and hung out in our tent eating lunchables and Doritos :)
Saturday we woke up, and are breakfast at this adorable diner, then drove to The Grand Canyon. The only word I can use to describe it was breathtaking. It was amazing. We drove around to the different lookout spots, parked our car then walked up to the edge.
For lunch, we ate at The Grand Canyon Lodge where we met this awesome squirrel. She was so rad. She just came up to us, and we fed her. She even let Landon pet her. It was crazy.
After spending all day at the canyon, we went back to our campsite, are dinner and relaxed. Sunday morning, we packed everything up and headed home.
We decided that our campsite looked like it could be an RDX commercial! Haha
