Brb... Going to Cali

This past Friday marked Landon being halfway done with summer courses. Since we had no plans on Saturday I had this brilliant idea to take a day trip to San Diego... I mean... Why not? So Thursday I booked us a cheap hotel (like 15 minutes from Tijuana... I obviously didn't do my research) and Saturday morning we woke up early and headed out. 

As soon as we got to Cali we went and bought boogie boards for $15 from Walmart, and headed to mission beach. We got the most PERFECT spot on the beach and started boogie boarding, that was also when I lost my sunglasses (RIP D&Gs :( ) after about 45 minutes the lifeguard decided to tell us we were in the surfers part of the ocean (what?!?) so we got out and laid on our towels for about 3 hours haha, we may or may not have napped, but didnt get burned :). After the beach we went and put he boogie boards back in the car and did some shopping... Before we went shopping we wet to get ice cream where we the. Realized I left the wallet in the car...10 blocks away. Husband was a champ about it though, and he ran back to the car to grab it, and in the end we got our cold stone, and shopping. After shopping, we went an checked in to our classy Days Inn. It was in a SUPER sketchy part of town, but the room was clean. We showered, got sandwiches, took our blanket down to imperial Beach and ate dinner... At night... On the beach. It seriously was heaven. Sunday morning, we woke up and drove home. It was such a fast trip, but much needed. 

Landon and I always have so much fun together. When you're married to your best friend you have fun no matter what. I am so grateful for this man of mine, and love him with all my heart.
