We left after Landon got off work on Friday, at 5:45 pm.. and we arrived at about 9. We chit chatted watched the dogs play, then went to sleep. On Saturday, My moms birthday, we had a TON planned. We woke up, and headed out to the Big River Chili Cook off, that was really fun, we got to go around and test taste all the different chilis and salsa's, and they had a swap meet thing goin on too, so we got to go around and see all the cool things, OH and a mini car show, that was cool too. It was right off of the Colorado River, which I have never seen.
We then headed to Lake Havasu City where we went to the London Bridge. Long ago they actually shipped the real London Bridge and set it up there... crazy. We spent the day walking around there and doing some shopping at all the little shops they have there... Went to dinner then headed to the Havasu 95 raceway where we watched a BUNCH of races... Then we headed back to Big River around 10 :)
Sunday, my mom had to work till 2pm so Me, Landon, Rick, Jeremy, and Mike headed to the river to do some jet skiing (also something I have NEVER done) we had SOO much fun (no pictures sorry, I was worried my camera would get ruined) but we had a blast riding up and down the river... and it made me SUPER sore. After jet skiing we had a birthday BBQ for not only my mom but my step brother Mike, had cake and ice cream then headed home. :)
All in All it was an AMAZING trip. It was such a hidden little place that I never wouldve known about unless my mom lived there. And its sooo pretty just houses on the river, beautiful weather, and some really nice people. We cant wait till we have kids and they can go there every summer like my niece Genesis does and have nothing but fun adventurous memories.
