Finally Finished!

Mine and Landon's canvas paintings are finished, and hanging on the walls. We had a deal that Landon got to pick out what went in the bedroom, and I picked the living room.

Landon chose to do a painting originally done by an artist named Jesse LeDoux. When we were planning on ordering the original we found out a few things. A) they only came in prints, not paintings. B) a PRINT half the size of Landon's (his is 6ft x 4 ft) was a good 2 grand. annd C) He was all sold out.
So Landon wanted to see if he could do the painting on a canvas. He could. We bought the canvas paint and brushes the charcoal pencils and gesso and he went to work. He scaled it from a small paper that had the print on it, took it over to his dads (so he could paint without Lu messing it up) and went over almost every day to paint. And Walllahhh... It is a masterpiece.
Now it's not your everyday painting, and thats exactly what we love about it. We love the colors that Jesse LeDoux had chosen for this painting... Its perfect for us.

Yes!!!!!!!!

Mine. I chose a design I had found on google images. the design on google was similar but not exact. Polkadots and stripes yes. but they are still not exact, I also chose to add some "damask" design in the center. I was able to paint mine just here at the apt, there are 9 20x20 canvases that each took about 2 and half weeks to do! What I love about mine is that I used different techniques. I used stencil, tape, stamp, and free hand. I absolutely love having artwork that my husband and I did on our owns (not to mention we saved some $$ by doing it)
