day 9- Something You're Proud of in the Past Few Days

I work at a hotel, as most of you know, and a lot of the time we get people who have family members in the UMC hospital down the street. I had gotten one of these guests and checked her in, her husband was in an accident and was unconscious, and the lady didnt know how long shed have to be there. So I had given her a courtesy upgrade to a nicer room, and lowered her rate. To me, if her husband is in the hospital under critical care, the last thing shes going to do is stay in a motel style room rather than a hotel style, and have to worry about price. So she accepted, and was so grateful. Her husband became conscious and they were able to check out and go home. Not long after they left I got a 'Thank You' card that said this....

"Justina, Thank you. Your helpfulness, kindness, and understanding was very much appreciated when my husband was in the hospital a couple of weeks ago. It was a very difficult time or us; however, you made my stay as pleasant as it could be under the circumstances. You are absolutely an employee who should be commended for your compassionate, professional approach in dealing with visitors at your hotel. Thank you again so much. Wishing you the very best"
